I don’t know about you, but I remember growing up and always being busy. I may have been more busy as a kid than I have been so far as an adult. We went to school for 8 hours, which in hindsight, seems like it’s only to prepare us for an 8 hour workday. After school, there were organizations like Future Farmers of America. There were clubs like Key Club (They sold and passed out those small red and white peanut bags, remember?). And, last but certainly not least, there were sports. [click to continue…]

Hand-me-downs are not the clothes that children would choose to wear, and for good reason. Who, in their right mind, would want to wear something that someone has discarded? Who would want to wear something that is dated and out of fashion? Would you wear a worn and old suit to the office? NO! Children go to “the office” just like you and me, but their “office” is school. Still, if you wouldn’t wear a beat-up suit, why should your little one wear beat-up clothing? It just doesn’t make sense!

I went from long black locks halfway down my back to a short, ultra-blond coiffe. Let me tell you that is a huge change. Not only did I change the length of my hair drastically, but I also change the color to the opposite extreme. Friends, family and even clients would walk past me and not recognize me. A client once asked, “who is the new girl?” (Don’t believe me? Scroll down, that’s me!) Changing your hair drastically can be a scary, scary thing.
