If you are reading these words, then I know that you’re a good person, and I’m pretty sure that you have a good heart, BUT….
…well, the thing is, if you’re a bit like me, even a tiny smidgeon, then you just haven’t been able to show that caring goodness to other people as much as you would like. I’m talking in terms of giving to worthwhile charitable causes, volunteering locally and travelling globally to pitch in and help out!
To the rescue comes an organization called World Peace Emerging (Go visit! Find them at www.theriseofbiodiesel.com ). A multi-faceted organization, World Peace Emerging is many things at once:
- They’re a charitable organization directory: Quickly sift through several projects and organizations from around the world and learn about their histories, missions, triumphs, and how YOU can get involved monetarily or by volunteering!
- An entrepreneur, coaching, and marketing resource: World Peace Emerging is unique by also offering to help leaders of these organizations become better leaders and promoters, so that their impact is magnified.
- A factful blog: read some of the true facts on topics from poverty to biodiesel, as well as hear what some of the leaders in these fields are currently working on!
- A global announcement board: Routinely check www.theriseofbiodiesel.com for updates conerning some of the most important conferences, conventions, and festivals including The Greenbuild International Conference & Expo in Boston, Massachusetts, The World Engineering Congress meeting in Washington, DC, and many more!
So, let’s get back to the reason why I’m promoting World Peace Emerging. I’m a pretty decent person, but life is pretty busy nowadays and seems to get in the way of me helping other people out with life. Luckily, World Peace Emerging recognizes this fact and has brought TONS of great causes together in one place on the web. There’s a definite reason that “World” is part of their name. Check out a list of some of the organizations who are featured on the website:
- Biota Spring Water: The amazing US company that makes biodegradable bottles from corn grown in Nebraska; every 80 Biota bottles saves a gallon of oil. Consider that 120 billion plastic bottles were made in the US last year. If these were Biota bottles, we’d save 1.5 billion gallons of oil!
- Sounding of the Planet: At Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC, the group offers the “Peace through Music” program that assists returning soldiers from the trauma and emotional shock of battle.
- Project Rwanda: Tom Ritchey, founder of worldwide famous Ritchey Logic mountain bikes, took a bike tour of the African nation and fell in love with the people of Rwanda. Their healing and persevering more than a decade after genocide impressed him greatly. So, replacing hard-to-use wooden bikes, Tom is on a mission to get bikes to the Rwanda’s coffee farmers, coffee being a staple Rwandan industry. Along the way, he’s also helping to organize extremely fun bike races in the country!
Let’s face it – in the speed of today’s life, we are often forgetting to make time to give back. But, visiting World Peace Emerging’s website makes donating and volunteering for good causes so easy! It’s all there in one place! Even I couldn’t say no to that.
And so, I bid you…
HAPPY VOLUNTEERING AND DONATING!
