Ok, I know this compilation may raise some eyebrows but lets be real people; do you really want to be caught seen in a smart car or a Benz!! I mean seriously, there is nothing trendy about a little tinker car that looks like a child’s toy car. And sure, people can’t afford Whole Foods but does that stop you from going? Every time I go, the place is packed to capacity and there is never enough parking; seems to me that people are going regardless of what the mags tell you. Glamour is not dead even in this so called “bad” economy. Boohoo we all have to work harder for our Benz now! What happened to YES WE CAN?!
Oh, and by the way, I didn’t say that we are now eating in to save money; it’s just the trendy thing to do. I mean with all the food network that I have been watching I don’t need to go to a restaurant to find exactly what I have at home and more!
These high fashion magazines feed us shit about how we can save the planet and do our part while the editors and the artists and writers are dining in the best restaurants, living in their penthouse apartments and shopping at Neiman’s while we are driving our smart cars in burlap jeans for crying out loud! Give me a break!
This New Year is going to be wonderful if people stop feeding into the media hype about the “bad economy”. We need to stop thinking negatively and get out there and kick off the New Year with a bang. I am tired of all the whining that I am hearing about how everything is so bad; it is untrue and we are buying it people! Turn off the news; stop reading the newspaper. Do yourself a favor and read a good book in lieu of the hype. Our society will be just fine.
